Digital Transformation: Disruption, Innovation and Diversity
Prof. Dr. Isabell Welpe, Chair for Strategy and Organization at Technical University Munich
The business models of companies are disrupted by the digital transformation. Companies must transform their businesses and drive competitive advantage through digital innovation. This requires an innovative workforce in which diversity plays an important role. Hence, it has an impact on the career opportunities for women and ‘diverse talents’. And it requires a new kind of leadership. Prof. Dr. Isabell Welpe will present in her keynote presentation results of the current report for the German Federal Government which quantifies the impact of digitalization and future change of business models in different industries as well as show the different dimensions of change through digital transformation.

Competencies in the digital age
Prof. Dr. Yasmin Mei-Yee Weiß, Manager, Political Consultant and one of the youngest University professors in Germany
Digitalization is about people. New work flows, processes and mindsets will make the difference if the digital transformation of a company is successful. New competencies are required due to more individualized ways of working. Women often have these competencies of a knowledge worker which are currently dominant and which creates new opportunities for them.
Which competencies are needed, which are often held by women and how does the education system need to change are topics of Prof. Dr. Yasmin Mei-Yee Weiß’ presentation.

Panel discussion: The female factor of digital disruption. Opportunities and risks of digitization for women
Christiane Noll, Dr. Christine Haupt, Prof. Dr. Isabell Welpe, Prof. Dr. Yasmin Mei-Yee Weiß, Ali Mahlodji, Susan Brady;
moderated by Stella Goulet, CMO Avanade
We still view digitization primarily in terms of how it relates to machines and business. However, people are also a part of this digital journey. Especially in the technology sector, it becomes ever clearer that there is an immense reservoir of talent out there, and women are all too frequently overlooked.
What potential are we missing out? Why does the "female factor" play such a crucial role in the age of digital disruption and transformation? How can, and should, companies respond to this challenge? Are there any risks?

Try, Fail, Innovate & Be Bold
Ali Mahlodji, Founder, Chief Storyteller & Chief Visionary WHATCHADO
Innovation through disruption and focus. How is it possible to build a start-up from a childhood dream with employees from 15 nations in only three years - a start-up that changes the HR market and gets awarded several times by the UN and the EU on the European level?
Ali Mahlodji is telling us his story. After more than 40 different jobs and dropping out of school, he created an international success story by following his childhood dream. It is a success story that not only challenges well established players but also shows “old economy” companies how the innovative approach of a start-up could be helpful for them too.
